Stakehill Produce
You’d be surprised how much goes into a tomato.
I spent some time recently at Stakehill Produce, a family-run farm tucked away in Baldivis, WA. They grow tomatoes — the kind that actually taste like tomatoes and they do it with more care than most people would expect.
Their greenhouses are quiet but full of life. Rows and rows of cherry tomatoes, grown hydroponically and ripened on the vine. No shortcuts. No guesswork. Just consistency, freshness, and a genuine love for growing good food.
They grow year round through the heat, the rain, and everything in between. There’s a rhythm to it. Tending, picking, packing. Getting the fruit to markets or restaurants, It’s thoughtful work. Not rushed. Not scaled beyond recognition.
So yes, a lot goes into a tomato.
But when you do something properly, it shows. And at Stakehill, it shows in every bite.
